Yesterday morning, besides the fact that it was a Monday, after a long holiday weekend, the fam got up like normal and started our morning routines. Needless to say my daughter was in a crap mood. I mean like, go away, don't look at me, dagger to the heart looks, etc.
She did her normal thing, and at some point, get really upset about her hair and said she was not going to school. Well, well, oh no, no, no!! "Yes you are", I told her. She gives me that look.
So time to go and she is out the door, no kiss, hug, nothing, just bye. So I am like, see you later, have a good day, WOW!!! Teenager!!! Woah! Look out! Here comes the A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E!
Day gos by, la, la, la...time to pick her up from the bus. She gets off the bus and gets in the car, smiling. Ok guess her day got better, that is good. "Mom, when we get home I have to tell you something." Uh, ok.
We get home. "Mom, stand still, put your arms out to the side..." Me - "Ooook...what on earth are you doing?" She gets closer and hugs me..."Mom, I am sorry for being a booger this morning. No really, I am sorry, I was being mean and I didn't mean to be yucky to you."
...I must be doing something right.
