A day late...

and a dollar short. That's just the saying, but I meant to post yesterday. I'm at a loss for words today. It's Thursday and I am not quite ready for the month I have ahead of me. BUT, I am thinking positive and everything will be good. No, not good, GREAT!

On to other things. Took some senior photos on Monday. Sidnee is a senior and also a band member. We did the fall session and got some great photos. Here is my favorite!

So just a quick little Thursday something. I'll end it with a photo of whats to come for the weekend.

That's about how I feel this morning. UGH, it's Monday ahhgain. So as always I listen to G105 in the morning. Bob and The Showgram is the bomb! They were talking about Pick Your Purse being back in October. For those of you who don't know, you are the 105 caller and you pick from a bunch of name brand, EXPENSIVE purses. Dooney & Burke, Kate Spade, Prada, etc. So it made me think about the Kate Spade purse I just purchased.

Flashback...I purchased a Kate Spade at the Lakefest in Clarksville about three years ago. Super cute, loved it. At the time I thought it was the real deal. Paid $40 for it. Well after about a year the 'kate spade' logo started coming off. Hmm. To my amazement (sarcastic) I found out it was a knock off. Go figure. The logo sticker was GLUED on. Flash forward...was recently at Plato's Closet in Durham shopping for school for my daughter. The minute I walked in I saw this cute as hell pocka-dotted purse. I grabbed it, Kate Spade, heck yeah! Price tag...wait for it....drum roll please....$8.00!!! AND the 'kate spade' logo was SEWN on!! IT'S REAL!!

So on this Manic Monday it's all about the little things, that are priced just right. Or FREE (if you are caller 105 for 'Pick Your Purse')

I'mmm baaaccckkkk!!!

Hey yall! I have been MIA for about a year from my blog. I sincerely apologize. Life has been a roller coaster since the recession, being part of the high school marching band, photography, being a mom, a wife, shopper, saver, cleaner, etc, etc, etc. Whew! Makes me tired looking back at the past year.

So what has changed in my life? Hmm, oooo, we finally crawled out of the dark ages and have high-speed internet at the house. (did a cartwheel, then a split jump) WOOHOOO!! Now keeping up with my blog shall be so much easier. Yes I am using the grand internet as an excuse. So sue me. My mom got married. My husband got laid off, but did find another job. My daughter turned 15 and will take driver's ed this year (please shoot me now), my son turned 17 and will graduate high school this year (yes I'm already dead from the first but shoot me again). I stared my second year as the band assistant for the middle/high school. YAY!! 

My schedule is super busy, but if I wasn't I would go nuts. I've done some seniors...

still doing weddings. Had a wonderful 'full circle' moment. Jenny Inge, who was gracious enough to take a chance on me when I first started; I just recently photographed her sister-in-laws' wedding. See Jenny (on the right) was my first bride ever, Lindsey was her maid-of-honor. Another exciting announcement made was they are both expecting and are about two weeks apart.

Life is still good and I can't complain. I promise to be more 'present' with my blog and what's happening in my life. I am documenting my day today, stay tuned for that in a blog post.
