I so can't wait for the opportunity to meet these fabulous photographers. Maybe one day! This month I am looking up to Jen Shannon. I can't even remember (go figure) how I came across her, but I love her work. Based in Chicago, but as I just read she will be moving to Florida soon.
I borrowed this photo from her site so you can see how absolutely adorable she is. I hope she does not mind.
Her style is funky and fun, and she take a "fashion mag" approach to her photos. Not only does she take on weddings, she does families, pets, and probably most anything you want to capture. For us fellow photogs she is gracious to share her wealth of knowledge with tutorials and the like on her blog. Jen was chosen as November Photographer of the Month on Photobiz's website. Believe me that is a big deal. Another passion of hers is animals, dogs mostly. See, just another reason I love her. She does great things for people and their pets. Check it out here.
Please take a few moments to check out all the funky fun she has to offer. Again, have not met her but know she would be super fab!
Thanks Jen for being someone I am proud to say I look up 2!!
I was her age. Even though you don't see it, you have the whole world ahead of you. You can BE whatever you want to be, you just have to want it bad enough.
You are talented, funny, beautiful, kind, caring, and cool. I would even say you are pretty popular in school. Cherish these times. Don't rush your days away, only to want them back later. You are about to embark on "high school". This should be the best time of your life. Make it count. Be you! Don't ever compromise who you are to try and "fit" in. You are talented and smart, use it to go far in life. I believe in you and know there are so many opportunities for you. Take chances, go the extra mile, and no matter what don't ever look back with regret!
You are and always will be my little girl. You are growing up to fast, and just know I am super proud of the person you are. I love you more than life. And like my mom used to tell me, you will never know until you have kids of your own. Well now I know. I would die for you!!!
My daughter, and my friend. Alyssa, I love you!
